Female Cardinal

There is just something special about seeing cardinals. Their bright red color is so uplifting. Some say that when a cardinal appears, it is a happy sign that those we have lost will live forever, and are visiting. Even though this female is not as brightly colored as the male cardinals, she is still a beautiful bird, and it is exciting to have her at my feeders :) Dayton, Ohio
